Security Rights List

Access to features and data within SmartView are controlled by Security Roles and Security Rights. User management and access control is handled by the host system, which manages which roles and rights are assigned to each user. The host system passes that information to SmartView through the integration between the systems.

The list below identifies all security rights with the exact names that SmartView must receive from the host system, and includes descriptions of what features are controlled by the rights.

AllIASDashboard

Allows the user to view and create Dashboard configurations in Design mode, as well as activating dashboards in Analysis mode.

AllIASDataSourceView

Allows the user to view and create MergeView configurations.

AllIASDataView

Allows the user to view and create Data View configurations in Design mode, as well as activating data view instances in Analysis mode.

AllIASExternal

Gives the user view, creation, and deletion permissions in the host system. The features controlled by this right must be configured in the host system.

AllIASLayout

Allows the user to view and create Layout configurations in Design mode.

AllIASMdQuery

Allows the user to view and create Custom Query configurations in the Query Designer, as well as activating custom queries.

AllIASNote

Allows the user to view, create, and delete Notes in Analysis mode.

AllIASSchedule

Allows the user to view, create, and delete Snapshots Schedule configurations.

AllIASSnapshot

Allows the user to view, create, and delete Snapshots and Snapshot configurations.

AllIASStatic

Allows the user to view and create Template configurations.

CreateIASDashboard

Allows the user to create Dashboard configurations in Design mode.

CreateIASDataSourceView

Allows the user to create MergeView configurations.

CreateIASDataView

Allows the user to create Data View configurations in Design mode.

CreateIASExternal

Provides full access to the Configurator page in Design mode.
