Updated Security Role Configuration UI

The existing Security Role configuration screens have been enhanced for a better user experience. Previously, the screens used G3 UI elements that have now been converted to the latest Insurity Marine Suite UI elements. Additionally, an Audit Trail screen to capture changes made to Security Roles has been added. All other functionality remains the same as before. The updated screen will feature the Employee Roles and Company Roles as tabs in a grid.

The grid includes the following columns:

  • View Details (link)

  • Security Role Name

  • Owner Company

  • Security Role Type

  • Client Code

  • Shared

  • Active

Note that Copy and Add buttons have been added to the bottom of the grid for both the Employee and Company screens.

Upon clicking Add, the Security Role configuration page (Employee or Company) is displayed. Users must enter, at minimum, the Owner Company, Name of the security role, and Security Role Type. Once the user clicks Save on the new security role, the Security Rights list is displayed where the user can manage and assign the necessary security rights for the role. The list of rights available is determined by the Security Role Type and category (Employee or Company).

To copy an existing security role configuration, users can either click the checkbox of the column of the role they want to copy and click Copy, or first click View Details to open the Security Role screen with previously saved details. Clicking on Copy will open a new window with the copied security role where users can modify the details as needed. Note that the Security Role Type will be populated with the previous selection and cannot be changed.

Language File Updates

All new labels, system warnings, and messages introduced for the new release were translated into the eight other languages offered by the Insurity Marine Suite and were added into the existing core language files.
