Booking a Shipment

Why would I book a shipment?

To book insurance coverage for the shipment’s cargo, generate a certificate of insurance, and record your policy’s shipment activities.

Before Getting Started

• You belong to a company that has access to at least one policy in Confirmed status.
• You are assigned the Create Shipment security right.

Steps

1. You create a new shipment or create a shipment from a template. The shipment is insurable.

   

2. Click Confirm Booking.

Result

The system saves the shipment and sets its status to Booked, and generates a certificate number. You can now print a certificate.
