Managing Submissions and Policies

Policy Submission is the core function for handling the booking of policies.

The submission process begins with Incomplete status.  With the completion of one or more screens, the data is evaluated by the system.  Depending on the setup of the product, and the data entered into the form, one or more quotes may be generated automatically.  These quotes can change as the user proceeds to fill in more information.

As the user progresses through the workflow, the status of the submission may change.  All possible transaction types and statuses are listed in the next section, providing information on the purpose of that transaction and status, and what options are available.

The first step is to get into a submission or policy form.

Viewing Saved Submissions and Policies

While navigating through the workflow, the submission is automatically saved when moving forward in the workflow and performing most actions.  The submission can also be saved manually at any time by clicking Save and Refresh.

To return to a submission or policy saved in the system, use the Search/List feature.

  1. Click Policies in the main menu, and select Search/List.  The Select Submission/Policy or Create New Submission page opens.
  2. Some columns have been hidden.

  3. The filters and sorting options can be used to locate a specific submission, and additional columns of data are available.  See the Using Grids section for detailed instructions.
  4. Click the link in the Term ID / Policy No column to open the submission or policy.

Notes:  

Your account settings determine your level of access.  You may be able to see and work with submissions and clients created by other users in your organization, or you may only have access to the work you have created yourself.

If a policy term has been locked, the text (Locked) will appear next to the Status.  This indicates that the term cannot be modified until the term is unlocked.

If the last transaction is a Void or Offset transaction, the text (Void) or (Offset) will appear next to the Status.
