2.2.3 Minor Enhancements and Incorrect Functionality Fixes

Enhancements

For cases where a client chooses to cancel a policy after a renewal has been bound, it is now possible to cancel multiple terms.  The latest term should be handled first, either deleted or declined if it has not yet been bound, or cancelled if it has been bound.  Each previous term can then be cancelled in order back to the actual date of the policy cancellation.

These terms can also be reinstated, starting with the earliest term and working through to the latest term.

In order to correct formatting issues when uploading Excel files for the Lookup Tables feature, the system now stores all table data as it appears in the Excel file, including formatting.  Any formatting should be taken into account when setting lookup conditions, and the formatted response value should be expected in return.

Numerical values should be formatted without thousands separators, and only periods should be used as decimal separators.

For best results, format all cells as Text.  This ensures that all data is stored exactly as it is expected.

A new column has been made available for the Submission/Policy List.  The Distributor Code column displays the code for the distributor attached to each submission or policy.  The column is hidden by default, and can be added to the grid using the Select Columns option, available by right-clicking any column header.

A new option has been added when configuring grids in the Panel Management page.  The Evaluate Calculated Fields For New Rows checkbox becomes available when Grid or Premium Grid is selected as the Control Type.

When checked, each time a new row is added to the grid, all calculated fields in the submission are evaluated on opening the detail window, and again on saving the new row.

When unchecked, calculated fields are only evaluated on saving the new row.

Additional documentation has been added to support the Data Import feature under the Reference menu.  Appendix B - XML Structure for Import Files has been added to the Reference and Administration user guide, providing sample XML import files for both policies and distributors.  The XML structure has been broken down and detailed, section by section, allowing details to simply be entered into the sample files, then uploaded to the system.

To resolve an issue with browser compatibility, the Associated Documents grid in the Master Cover - Documents/Forms page has been replaced.  Instead of entering data directly into the grid, there is now a standard grid displaying the existing associated documents.  An Add button opens a new window to add additional documents.

This change will have no effect on existing associated document setups, just changing how the data is displayed and managed.

For details on configuring Document and Forms, please see the Bridge User Guide - Master Covers.
